Artists Communicate - Printmaking

For my printmaking project, I chose to create a picture with a hammer and a nail. I picked this picture because it was the first thing that popped in my head. I guess it could symbolize a person either being the hammer or the nail.

I used intaglio printmaking to produce my piece. I achieved this by carving out my desired picture on a piece of plexi glass. I then covered it with ink and put it into the press and out popped my image on a sheet of paper.

I hope my piece can be used as an inspiration for people to either be a person that goes out and gets what they want and not be a person that caters to everybody else. That is the meaning of the saying, "You're either the hammer or the nail".
